Sinful Colors - Sanfrancisco (Bad Mani day)

This is Sinful Colors SanFrancisco...aka "rider green" (after one work day with the Seche Vite Topcoat - boo so this came off the next day due to the shrinkage).

But i'm pretty excited to find a rider green....i will be sporting this color at the Oct 17 game that i have tickets for.

This is my new mani...love love love it. Hopefully i got the right amount of Seche Vite and i don't have shrinkage so far so good it's been 6 hours now and no shrinkage.

Left hand...reaction to Seche Vite Top coat and OPI top coat caused the rhinestone to bleed blue.



Colors used:
Base coat - OPI - Over the Taupe
Base coat - OPI - I'm Fondue of you
Dots - OPI No Room for the blues
Top Coat - Seche Vite


Some things i noticed now...i did my nails with the same diagonal, even though i tried to do them opposite at the time. I still need to do more cleanup, but i did a much better application of polish and didn't flood my cuticles. Orange sticks don't work well for dots...next on ebay purchase - dotting tool.

My last manis have been disasters and i haven't even taken photos of them. I am trying to find the right amount of seche vite to add to the polish. I am getting so much shrinkage that my polish needs to be removed within 2 days. I have been travelling for Wed & Thur for work, so i'm exhausted. want to redo my mani but my bed is calling. I got some new polish tonight with new rhinestones and have the idea for my mani tomorrow. I'll post pics when the mani is complete. I have pics i need to download from my camera i'll have a swatch of sinful colors San Francisco - pretty stoocked as it's Saskatchewan Roughrider green. (CHL football for those not familiar with the name :)

Now I will write 7 things that nobody knows about me! This might be a little easy for me cause i'm new to the nail polish blogging community (edit: it's not that easy as i originally thought as i don't want to put ones that close friends know about me already.)

1. I volunteer a lot.
2. I collect coins - but only from friends and family when they travel. And the Cdn specialty quarters and just started the US quarters but those are harder to find here as i search in my coins i get as change.
3. I have been a blog stalker for years, (i subscribe and read) learning the habit of commenting now.
4.My bedroom can not stay clean for more than 2 hours. - always clothes in the baskets - clean or ones that just need folding or hanging.
5. i am a blonde somedays, even though i keep dying the hair.
6. I am an accountant, but sometimes i'm really math dumb. My cable/internet bill has me confused - i owe the roommate some money and i thought i would pay her back by paying the bill extra for the amount i owe her & it makes sense but doesn't in the same breath.
7. I'm a procrastinator.

Tuesday's NOTD and nail polish haul

Wow, i'm finally posting pictures faster than before. yah for me.


I was freehanding on Tuesday, i'm not in love with this, i like my right hand much better, then looked again and it was more one half lavender/one half hunky dunky. After all that polish i decided the top coat could wait till the morning and guess what i forgot the top coat until mid afternoon and already the tips are wearing. (Damn office job, can't blame that either as i wasn't shuffling paper in the morning as i was in a learning campaign) I know that i need to paint the free edge and do a top coat even if i don't like the design. I'm tempted to remove this tonight (wednesday) and start simply with a base coat.

Nail Polish Haul


I'm a little excited, i got the Seche vite for $4.99Cdn a 50% discount. the Top coat $9.99Cdn i had to purchase at full price. The pink Sinful Colors was discount to $2.99Cdn. Green was purchased at regular price of $5.99Cdn. These are my first purchases of both Seche Vite and Sinful colors i'm so tempted to do my nails again but it's already 10:15am and i need sleep

Saturday NOTD

This was last Saturday's mani,

Base - Nicole stic feeling girly
Top coat - Covergirl grapevine
Kiss silver
dots made with an orangestick (need to work on my dotting technique)

This mani didn't last long many days as i had bubbles the next day. Not sure if it's cause polish is old or it's the OPI Top coat reacting with it. I'm starting to think it's the Top coat as i didn't add the rhinestone on my ringfinger until the next day and then applied more top coat, and if you can see i have bubbles directly around the rhinestone. I'll test it again some time with my new Seche Vite top coat.

I did get some compliments on the design from the ladies at my friend's stagette in the bar.

NOTD

I did this latest manicure on Monday night, waiting until Tuesday after work to apply top coat...bad idea...think i'm starting to learn now. Also still trying to be patient with polish and apply thin layers and try to cleanup the mani afterwards better. It's a learning process!!!

these pics where taking on Thursday. Friday night (tonight) i will be removing this mani and doing another. I will try to take fresh pics before the polish goes on the tips.






Love this nail as i stamped almost perfectly with the gold...looks better in person.

I just purchased a new plate M64 and this is the image that drew me in.
I really enjoyed this mani...the left hand is much better than the right. I didn't top coat till the next day after work and that was a mistake. Also forgot to paint the free edge. You can see the color coming off the tips as i didn't take pics until after the top coat .The Nicole has impressed me as it's been 4 days and today is the day that i want to do another mani as this one is past it's time.

I would redo my mani tonight but my parents are only 15 mins away. yah.
