Snow me White, Orange Knockout

Ignore the thumb, heavy with second coat, love this pinky flower, pointer went a little more crazy with the Orange Knockout

I gave up on my "try other top coats before purchasing Seche Vite".  The last mani  i did, didn't even get photos as it was a total fail.  I did a Seche Clear base with OPI Funky Dunky with OPI top coat followed by OPI drip dry.  This mani didn't want to dry at all and by morning almost all nails had bubbles all over them or sheet marks.I can't handle doing a mani and having it fail by morning time and this is the reason i haven't been polishing as much as i usually do these last number of weeks.

So, on my quest to get Seche Vite yesterday (Sunday), i got the last Seche Vite bottle and i finally know where to pick up more Seche Vite, Yah.  I wasn't going to purchase polish but it's hard to pass up a sale and i found this Sinful colors originally $5.99 sale price $1.99 at a Pharmacy in my city, they had a lot of clearance items - even Seche Vite Restore, Clear, etc. (*London Drugs 8th St for the locals followers)

I ended up finding a very good white polish for my collection. I wanted a good white base polish that i could top with other colors, i found the right polish.  This one could have easy been a one coater but i prefer two coats and some nails were a little thin or spotted, so two coats it was.  After i got the white on the nails i needed something to tone down the white (*my skin is too pale for white), original thought was black but then the orange apparently was calling my name.  I used China Glaze Orange Knockout (Neon) for the flowers and such. The dots were started with OPI Bright Powers, then every second dot was re-dotted with the Orange Knockout. A lot of people at work noticed these nails, the Orange Knockout does what the name says it stands out.   Please forgive the cuticles haven't been treating them well and it's very cold here in the Prairies the last number of weeks.

No Room for the blues, Brights Power, Yellow it's me

Only nail that didn't dry with the top coat.
I decided to try out a manicure for the Canadian Relay for Life colors.  I think i didn't do too bad.  I need to play around a bit.  I am not a cancer survivor (yellow) so i think this manicure might be better suited if i had the orange (Brights Power) as the base color as the committee t-shirt colors are orange.  This Sunday we were suppose to have a small Relay Rally, where a number of Steering committee members from our surrounding towns/cities get together to learn new techniques/ideas and share ideas.  Due to a stormy Saturday and Sat night it was canceled.  I hope it gets rescheduled it would be nice to network with other committees.

Base coat - Stickey
Main color - Yellow It's Me - Nicole by OPI
Stripe - Brights Power - OPI
Stripe - No Room for the Blues - OPI
TC - OPI & OPI drip dry

Has anyone tried the OPI drip dry and how do you find the product, i'm so tempted to go back to Seche Vite but i need to try this TC out more.  Am i using too many drips of the OPI drip dry, should i be using the wrap technique for the first top coat??  Any tips would be helpful.

OPI - My Private Jet & Log on to Love

left hand

left thumb

Right hand - the ring finger was supposed to match the left with the three lines but my un-steady hand messed it up on the first stroke...so i thought lets try to do a leave/branch thingy

My original thought for this mani was to do a two toned horizontal My Private Jet on top, Log on to love on bottom but once i added the first line on the left ring finger i decided to try for stripes.  Tomorrow my new Manager starts so i wanted to not make a bad impression with crazy nails like i sometimes have.  So minimalistic the better.  Also enjoying the Log on to Love color.

Base coat - Log on to Love
Stripes - My Private Jet
Top coat - Sally Hansen hard as nails & OPI drip dry

Here's to hoping this mani can last more than a day.  I need more Seche Vite, but really i don't as i have other top coats to test and try out.
